There's so much going on astrologically in 2026. I'm reminded of the lyrics in Hamilton, "...How lucky we are to be alive right now!"
All of the outer planets - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and, yes, Pluto are changing signs within the span of a little over a year, which hasn't happened for thousands and thousand of years. Changes like these indicate major shifts in the collective. Yes, there will definitely be bumps along the way, but that's just the old dark energy rising to the surface so that it can be released. The energy is moving faster, and changes will happen quickly - personally and collectively.
The new beginnings will show up by February 2026. What's being released now are old beliefs that kept humanity limited (Saturn in Pisces), old values around money and wealth that created extremes between the haves and the have nots (Uranus in Taurus), and secrets, false narratives and deceptions that have distracted us from realizing that we are all connected (Neptune in Pisces and the end of the Age of Pisces).
While the calendar year always begins on January 1st, this year the planetary alignments let us know that the new energies begin to show up on February 20th, with the rare (once in 6,000 years) Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees of Aries, aka the World point or the beginning of the zodiac. Extra potency is added as it occurs between two eclipses - always change points.
Mercury retrograde from 2/26 until 3/20 brings a LOT of old stories to the surface. Don't believe everything you read. There's a lot going on behind the scenes with Mercury in Pisces.
Have your New Year celebrations on the day of the Spring Equinox, as our ancestors did. Mercury is direct; there's a huge lineup of planets and planetary bodies lined up in Aries, and the collective is ready for new beginnings - political, economic, social, religious. The changes are coming in slowly, until they get a boost around April 27th, when Uranus (truth-telling, inventions, breakthroughs, ETs) moves into Gemini (communications, networks of people and tech) for the first time since 1949. The last planet to join the fire and air club is Jupiter, as it moves into Leo on July 1st. Are you ready for the summer? Hold onto your hats.
We're now firmly into the age of Aquarius and the evolution of humanity into a kinder, more compassion world. Imagine moving from a pyramid hierarchy to a circle. The old beliefs and programming are being replaced with heart-centered beliefs, based less on materialism and more on community and the interconnectedness of all things. And we get to be the change we've been looking for.
