The reason that we can’t predict the future is because the future exists as a swirl of probabilities, so anything is possible. The reason that we can sometimes predict the future is that if we keep repeating the same behaviors, we’re more likely to get the same outcomes. The future isn't predetermined - it's just that some things are simply more probable than others.
This is a powerful idea - that the future isn’t fixed and that we’re creating our future by what we’re thinking and feeling today. And because we’re free to choose in every moment what we want to think about and how we want to feel, we can create the kind of future we want.
This is where metaphysics and physics (string theory) come together. My own experience with the metaphysical approach to life – and the lives of my coaching clients and students - has shown that when you deliberately choose to feel good and focus on what you want, you increase the probability of it happening.
